Rules and guidelines
Posting messages or topics:
Please try very hard to keep your post relevant to the forum you’re posting in. Also please try to post in the correct forum, mistakes happen, but repeatedly posting in the wrong forum makes it difficult for your post to be dealt with. If you accidentally post in the wrong forum, or discover your post would be best placed in another forum, let a staff member know and we will move it as soon as we can.
Abusive language/behavior (like a post that is excessively vulgar, insulting, explicit, graphic, racial, demeaning, or directs hatred/anger toward a specific group or person) without (what we deem as) justification is not permitted. Posts containing abusive content (language, behavior, images etc) will be removed and the responsible party will be held accountable.
Please to not endorse illicit activities or crime, this is not permitted.
Sexually explicit posts (in any way, shape, or form) are not permitted and can be deleted. Soliciting other users, engaging in cyber sex, or participating in mature role play is not allowed. Those involved will be held accountable.
Spamming (stretching pages/repeatedly posting the same content, image, or message/ excessive “bumping”) is not permitted.
All Image should be kept to a PG13 rating or bellow. For perfect clarification, PG13 is defined as “Suitable for those aged 13 or over but parental guidance still required for those under 13. On this site that means mild sexual content, language, and violence is allowed. This may include actual or implied sexual relationships between women and between men. If any of this illegal where you live then the content is unsuitable for you regardless of age.”
Ultimately, the staff reserves the final word on what is or is not PG13 since the definition of “mild” is somewhat flexible. If the staff feels the image is in anyway inappropriate or violates the specifications for images, or any other rules, they have the authority to ask you to remove the image or do so themselves.
Basically, use common sense, if you’re not sure whether or not something qualifies as pg13, ask a staff to judge it (in private, not on the forum after you’ve already posted it) or simply don’t post it.
Prohibited practices:
Botting – Definition: Using scripts, programs, or other forms of cheats to play, post, or generate currency, are prohibited. Also, any practices that allow a user to play or receive rewards or benefits while not actually being at the keys are also prohibited.
“Hacking” accounts – Any person or user who accesses another users account without explicit permission or authorization of the person who owns the account being accessed, is considered to be “hacking” the account. This is not permitted.
“Scamming” – Offering services, items, or work in exchange for currency without the intention or ability to complete the deal qualifies as “Scamming”. Setting up fake front-pages or websites in order to “harvest” passwords, user names, etc as well as email scams and/or other attempts to take/steal/“Borrow” another user’s account/password/currency/character/items/etc is also considered “Scamming”. Scamming in any form, is prohibited
Stalking – Stalking anyone is prohibited. If a player asks/tells you to leave them alone, please do. Those failing to do so will be held accountable.
Pretending/Claiming to be an AO Staff Member of any rank/form - Any user who falsely claims to be a AO Staff Member or any other such claims, are forbidden. This is to protect our users from various scamming attempts. We will never ask for your password in any way shape or form, thus never give it out. We will not Mail, Email, PM, IM, Comment, Post, or pop-up a request for your password in order to help you, reward you, or promote you; please do not send your password to ANYONE. If any “staff” asks for your password, please report this right away so the situation may be dealt with.
Consequences
Failing to abide by the rules listed above may result in one or more of the following consequences:
*warning – a staff member may issue a warning allowing the user to alter their behavior. Failure to do so may result in harsher consequences
* a temporary ban (the amount of time may vary)
* permanent ban (usually after repeated offenses but some exception apply)
For your own safety:
Please do not give out personal information on the site/forum or in-game.
Do not “share” an account. Giving your password to another person could result in that person taking currency or items from the account and it is difficult to “prove” that this happened, instead of a trade or permitted action.

Tifa
